OL Classes - Wimba Pronto

Since we have no classroom classes for a week, our prof decided to have an OL class.

At first I was so amazed by this one, I thought that it's nice but when our prof started our lessons, I was so confused! I didn't get anything that he's typing. Oh well, this is what you get when you're a Chem Eng'g student of UST and you're under Sir Abet's class.

Lord God, help us to understand Kinetics and Unit 3 and help us to graduate on time. :]

Save me Gerald Anderson!

Gerald Anderson and his brother,checked out if their neighbors were OK during the Ondoy typhoon hit Manila.

Despite the neck high water which was at the time still rising, Gerald Anderson and his brother still manage to check on their neighbors. In times of crisis such as this our roles in society really dont matter as long as we try our best to help others. teachers, bankers, drivers, CEO's, nurses, lawyers, actors, whatever.. kasi sa huli the only thing that matters is na PINOY tayong lahat.

UERM hit by Ondoy

This is a shot from a video of UERM last Sept. 26 when Ondoy was pounding the whole NCR and the near by provinces.

That guy was trapped in his car.Good thing some good people helped him. In that video, there's a girl that was shouting and giggling while shooting this. That girl really bothers me because it seems like she's enjoying the whole scenario! What a nice b*tch!

Ondoy was a BLAST,literally!

This is what you get when you're living in the Philippines and a typhoon named Ondoy hit you.

In its 12 noon report, the NDCC said that seven people died in the NCR, one from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and 44 from Region IV-A, the NDCC report stated.

Rizal province reported the most number of casualties, with 23 dead reported in Tanay, 10 in Angono, 5 in Baras, 3 in Montalban, and one in Teresa.

In Metro Manila, the 7 dead were from Muntinlupa (3), Quezon City (2), and Marikina City and San Juan (1 each).

Calaca town in Batangas, Calauag town in Quezon, and Kabugao town in Apayao, meanwhile, reported one dead each.

Meanwhile, 23 people are reported missing, and 4 have been reported injured.

This one really gave me a chill!

We were still lucky because in some areas of Manila, especially Marikina and near by cities, the scenes were more devastating. OMG! What happened?! That was like an end-of-the-world-experience!
Let's pray for all the victims of this typhoon.

The Most Memorable Retreat of Our Lives - Part 2

So, this is the 2nd part of our most memorable retreat. When we were on our way back to UST, many weird things happened. The weirdest thing that happened was when we smelled a burning tire inside our bus. Our bus was air-conditioned and because of that, the windows and the door were fully closed so how will that smell go inside our bus. So when the smell faded, everything became normal, I slept because I was so tired, others listened to their iPod and some just had a nature viewing. When we were in South Luzon Express Way, a life-changing experience happened. Our bus collided to a 10 wheeler truck.

The accident was so fast.Many of us were sleeping that time and I heard a scream at the back and then I woke up and then BAM, we bumped into the truck. We were all shocked because obviously, the impact was so hard!What we didn't know was that there was another truck at the back. Miraculously, no one had a serious injury and all of us were OK.

Me and my friends were at the back of the bus, if that truck bumped into the our bus, I guess we will be injured or worst, we'll die.

The first thing that came into our mind was to pray. We were all shocked and then we decided to pray and thanked GOD for saving our lives. This accident really gave me chills. That was the first time I experienced a serious car accident. After what happened, we thought of some signs or premonitions. We remembered the smell of a burning tire inside our bus and guess what, the truck at the back was carrying a pile of tires.

We will never forget this experience because it really changed our lives. For me, it made me appreciate life much better and it made us closer to God. And because of what happened, we all have the same experience that we will never forget for the rest of our lives. It's ironic because we just had our retreat and why did it happen to us and not to the other section. But at the end of the day, we all know that God is really good and He saved all of us from that freaking accident. And this I think is the most memorable part of our retreat.

Yeah I know!This post is so late but I just want to congratulate JT for winning Survivor Tocantins!

I've been rooting for him since I started to watch this season of Survivor. Like ANTM, it was obvious who will win it. Hahaha. The finale episode was so exciting. I thought JT will bring Erinn with him in the finals. I think if JT did that, Erinn will have a high percentage of winning the title because it really shows that Erinn is really a survivor. Good thing JT brought Stephen who has no chance of winning the title. Ooopss. Hahah.

Oh by the way, believe it or not, I was also rooting for Coach. Yeah he was pathetic and crazy but he was a good player. :]
