DIY: Shirt to Tank Top

This DIY is inspired by my friend Paul Canlas (btw, visit his blog http://clarencepaulcanlas.blogspot.com), the best photographer in town. He's always doing this for his wifey, April, who's one of my gurlies. Anyway, this is the easiest and the most fun DIY I did. Hahaha. You just need a shirt (old or new) and a pair of good scissors.

Anyway, try nyo sya. Pero syempre, I'm not gonna wear them as tank tops lang. I mean, I'll wear jacket or blazers.

BTW, I got an email from Ms. Anna Cecilia Valera of Clozette.co, a Singaporean-based fashion social network. You have to visit this site. It's really nice bec you'll see a lot of fab/fashown things and you can post your coolest stuffs and fashown outfits. I actually created an account. Just  You should visit it and browse and try it. :]

DIY Inspiration: Balmain Fall 2009 RTW Shirt

I love Balmain even though it doesn't change the strong-shoulder-tight-fitting-garments-collection every season. I mean I don't get bored every time I am looking the past collections. Balamain is one of my inspirations in accentuating those shoulders! So I saw this Balmain FW 2009 sparkled shirt and it gave me an idea of doing a DIY of it.

I am so excited to do this. Just give me time and I'll be posting my finished DIY Balmain Fall 2009 shirt. :]

It was a HAPPY BIRTHDAY for ME

Yeah, it was my birthday (Jul 23) and it was really awesome. I did a DIY Sparkled Shoulders for my birthday. I thought that I have to wear something different because it was my day. So I thought of making these sparkly shoulders inspired by Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson.

It was my Folded and Hung sweater. I know, the shoulders were not so perfect but I got so many complements with it. Hahaha.

My birthday started at 3pm with my college friends. We went to SM North Edsa and it was raining so hard. We ate at Shakey's and after eating, we decided to play bowling.

Super love these people. :]
At first I thought it will be boring because it was already 3pm and I'll be having a dinner at 8pm. So I thought there will be no more time for us to enjoy the day. I was so wrong, it was a blast of fun!

After spending my birthday with them, I had a dinner with my "best friends". These girls are my friends since the day I knew I was so gay! So we had a dinner, and guess where we decided to eat. You are so right! At Shakey's, but in Glorietta.

We imagined that the Shakey's hat was my birthday cake. And it really looked like a cake.

And we were kicked by this large stiletto.

Super love my gurls! And we were so complete in action! :]

After our dinner, I thought my day will end. Well I was so wrong! Jaja, Sarins and I went to Saguijo in Makati.

We met band people and some were cuties! Hahaha

Of course I got some lovely gifts from them. But the most "KALERKS" of them all that I got was from Sarins!

I died when I saw this! It's a secret. It's for me to know and for you to find out.WHEW! Hahahaha.

I didn't expect that long birthday celebration. It was a wonderful birthday with some of the special people in my life. I got a phone call from my brother, which I didn't expect,97 Notifications in Facebook and all were birthday greetings, about 40 text messages and all were birthday greetings as well. I was so overwhelmed with what happened.I would say this was the best birthday ever! And I didn't know there are so many people who really appreciate my gayful acts. Thank you guys! :]

DIY: Olive Pants - I'm one of the Armies

This was my CAT military pants.
Image1306
For those who don't know what CAT is, here in the Philippines, when we were in high school, we had this subject. CAT stands for Citizens Army Training, and it was a requirement to pass but I don't know if they're still applying CAT as part of high school curriculum. And I am telling you, that was not a good experience! But after almost 10 years or so, my CAT pants gave me an idea.

BAM!I made it into, I don't know if its Harem pants or just Skinny jeans,a fabulous transformation. Hahaha. I want to achieve this high-waisted pants but the military touch will still be there. And mind you, it is all hand sewed.

MEIDAY CUBAO EXPO

We were really in the mood last night to party so Jaja, Sarina and I went to Cubao Expo to attend the MEIDAY party. As the ever the usual, there were lots of people and lots of bands who performed. The best band that we really enjoyed was PEDICAB! Ang cute nung vocalist.

owww ow1 ow8 ow3
Oh girls just wanna have FUN!

Jaja and I had "The Battle of the Pads". As you can see, we had shoulder pads! Hahaha.

I think Jaja won because hers was armored.

And I saw Kermit Tesoro, up close and personal. And my reaction was...

AYYYYYY!

He's so gay! Mas babae pa sa akin eh! Hahahaha. But he's really cute. I like his face. Hi Kermit Tesoro! I actually said "Hi" to him but of course, I was not facing him. Hahaha. But I admit, I'm a FAN! :]

All in all, it was a hell of FUN, FUN, FUN! And yeah, I got tipsy!

DIY: T-Shirt's Sleeves Cropping (UPDATED)

UPDATED!

I was seeing these cropped sleeves for a long time now and I was wondering if I'll try it,and I did. I bought a shirt in a thrift shop, that "hysteric glamour and a girl in the middle" print really caught my attention. And guess how much this shirt is! It's only 25 pesos (1 USD= 46 pesos)!Insane, right?! SUPER!
So this is the "BEFORE". The shirt was quite big for me so it was really good to cut those sleeves off.
Image936
And this is the "AFTER".
Image940
I kinda like the effect of it. The cropped sleeves gave the shirt a punky twist.
I'll be doing DIY stuffs. I'm planning those armored shoulders. Hope I can achieve that.

Well I used it when we attended Sarah's "gig" at Festival Mall Alabang.

Want some cheesy smile?!Anyway, whatchu think?! Isn't it lovely,no?! Hahaha.
